Danielle Johnston recently completed a degree course in Fashion and Textiles at the University of Bath Spa. Designed and made this collection in her final year of university and showcased at Graduate fashion week.  The collection is all black leather, (a mixture of cowhide and lamb nappa), and has silver finishing’s. She used a variety of techniques, such as hole punching, quilting, laser cutting and metal work. The garments have street wear references, with a 90’s feel; mixing classic shapes with modern twists. The innovative pieces  display a fresh leather look.

Which has grown and developed into an inspiring brand working hard to push the boundaries of the Menswear industry and my personal journey.

Playful and Youthful Collection Hope & Grace
Hollie Gilbert  collection is named 'Hope and Grace' Her inspirations come from skintight costumes of figure skaters, when discovered an amazing material called ‘Power mesh’ she ended up using this as a staple fabric in her collection.  The use of sequins drew her inspiration from eye catching glittery skater costumes.Hollie’s love for fashion started when taking the textiles subject for her GCSE’S. Her passion grew when she continued to study this subject for her Alevels. The flower hair accessories and oversize flower crowns motivates her current line. She started designing her summer collection last autumn and found that the long chiffon skirts are an evolution of the popular ‘dip hems’ skirts, and the power mesh are on trend.

The collection is composed of refined lingerie pieces presented as outerwear. The designer's idea was to renovate lingerie in a sense to make it more open than it actually is in our society. The details, trims and all different manipulations executed in the making process, stand out to emphasise the luxury lifestyle that goes with the brand. The collection `Nostalgia` focus on historical value and silhouette of  lingerie with modern twists represented in the cuts and the  materials used. The idea to redefine Lingerie with a new approach on the silhouette
